Choices Embroidery : Classic Embroidery Cross Stitch : Cobwebs and Samplers


Cobwebs These designs from Jill combine cross stitch with some blackwork. The flowers are worked in full crosses, the border and the cobweb itself are blackwork (backstitch). The cobweb is stitched using a lurex 'metallic' thread. The fabric used is one of the cloud-effect 14ct aidas from Fabric Flair. There is a small fairy charm - to be caught in the web! The designs are 30cms by 25cms (12" by 10")

The Friendship Samplers These designs take the form of line samplers but are in fact stitched just with cross stitch (whole crosses only) and backstitch. The kits are on 14ct aida. The design size in all cases is 28cms by 18cms (11" by 7")
