Cross stitch is used for the scarlet dress and shoes, and for a little of the black, but the bulk of the design is worked in backstitch. The silvery moon is worked in metallic thread, as are the fireworks.
 
The design is 21cms by 28cms (8" by 11") and is on 14ct aida.
